Fight Depression With Herbs

By James Penn In the fast-paced society that we live in today, it is very common for people to get the blues from time to time. It may be due to the pressures of work, running a growing household, or the common financial pressures that abound. Most people however, are able to overcome the blues with little or no help. In this case it is a very short-lived state of being down in the dumps. However, if your depressive state is rarely changeable, you may have a serious disorder. If you suffer from on-going depression, you should seek your doctor for treatment. However, in the meantime there are many herbs that have been proven to help you feel alive again. Lets take a look. First and foremost, lets take a look at a possible root cause. One of the most common causes of depression is low levels of the amino acid tryptophan. Tryptophan is a raw material that produces the neurotransmitter chemical serotonin. Without going into much biochemistry, higher tryptophan levels can be reached by simply eating a higher carbohydrate diet. Studies have actually shown that after a person with mild clinical depression ingested a few high-carbohydrate foods, their mood was significantly changed. Other foods high in tryptophan amino acids are sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Besides a change in your overall diet, you can also incorporate many herbs into your day. Some of these herbs can be put directly into your foods; others should be taken in pill form. * Licorice has the most antidepressant compounds than any other plant. There are at least eight licorice compounds that serve as MAO inhibitors, compounds that are potent antidepression fighters. The easiest way to take licorice is in an herbal tea. Licorice is safe for normal use in moderate amounts, or up to 3 cups per day. Long-term use or ingesting larger than normal amounts of this herb can produce headache, lethargy and water retention. * There is no other herb that is better known for fighting depression than St. Johns Wort. This herb has a long folk history. Studies have shown that the active compound hypericin, found in St. Johns Wort, resulted in very significant improvement of this condition. In fact, some studies even show that it is more powerful as an antidepressant than some pharmaceutical drugs. Why dont you try it for yourself and be the judge. * Aside from St. Johns Wort, Ginkgo Biloba is probably the next well-known natural fighter of depression. Ginkgo Biloba is especially known for fighting depression in the elderly, or people who suffer from reduced blood flow to the brain. If you want to give Ginkgo a try, check out your local health food store. * Siberian Ginseng is also a well-known MAO inhibitor. This herb has been proven to improve a persons overall sense of well being. Aside from the well-documented treatments above, there are many simple herbs that you should certainly try. Herbs such as caraway, celery, coriander, dill, fennel and nutmeg are all natural MAO inhibitors. Ginger is another herb that has a long folk history is treating anxiety and depression. Rosemary essential oil is normally the number one used essential oil by aromatherapists for treating depression. Rosemary contains the compound cineole, which is known to stimulate the nervous system. Furthermore, who wouldnt like a nice relaxing massage? It is also a good idea to incorporate as many vitamin B rich foods into your diet as you can. Vitamin B vitamins folate and vitamins B6 and B12 are essential at keeping neurotransmitter levels high, and neurotransmitters, the chemicals that allow nerve cells to communicate correctly, play a big role in depression. Foods rich in these chemicals are beans, asparagus, spinach, broccoli, okra, bananas, onions, squash, kale, sunflower seeds, watercress, soybeans and brussel sprouts. Herbs have played a role in achieving strong mental health for centuries. Why not see if herbal remedies will work for you too. Aluminum Decks

By Jason Gluckman Aluminum is number 13 on the periodic table of elements. It is silver colored metal with lightweight properties, making it good for certain construction, as in the aerospace industry. Industrial aluminum is used worldwide, and its production and supply heavily influence economics everywhere. Aluminum alloys are also produced for use in machinery, automobiles and as a chemical additive. Engineering aluminum can be tricky, and requires and experienced technician who has dealt with the metal. While the reduction in weight is attractive compared to other metals, it is not as well behaved as iron or steel. Aluminum construction material suppliers can be found online and offer different types of equipment. You may also search for an aluminum castings manufacturer to create specialty parts. The quality aluminum decks feature a true cantilever design with a deck over hanging the pool and completely replacing the top seats. The unique construction eliminates unsightly and dangerous gaps that occur between the decks and top rail of the pool. The decks are covered by non-skid outdoor carpet for stylish good looks and safety. They are pre-carpeted on all exterior sides for a finished patio look. The unique double beam construction is super strong and is cross braced for maximum patio stability. Apple iPhone Intent on Setting the Cellphone Industry on Fire

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Rob_Mead]Rob Mead THE APPLE IPHONE IS HERE TO TAKE NO PRISONERS The speculation regarding whether the new Apple iphone will feature streaming video as well as computer technology that will allow total Wi-Fi access is over. Apple has now confirmed that it’s new 3-5 inch 480 x 320 touch screen will soon be showing you more than 10,000 videos that YouTube has made available to all users of the Apple iphone for free. This new twist in the ongoing saga that is Apple’s new phone hardware really brings into sharp focus the incredible mindset that Steve Jobs and the rest of the Apple crew has in there scheme to corner the market on cell phone hardware sales. It will be very interesting to see if they can usurp the market share of cellphone hardware that has been a huge profit maker for companies like LG and Motorola over the past five years. THE APPLE IPHONE ROLLOUT IS HERE Apple made an exclusive deal with Cingular Wireless to carry the Apple iphone at this time, which guarantees that Cingular will own the exclusive rights for at least the next two years. The phone comes equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, 4 GB or 8GB of storage depending on what model Apple iphone you purchase, Bluetooth 2.0, automatic WiFi when it comes into range within WiFi radius and GSM radio installed with EDGE. That is quite a lot of hardware to put into one small phone, especially when you consider it’s retail price of only $499 for 4 GB package, and $599 for the 8 GB Apple iphone. The software includes Google Maps, OSX operating system, Safari and itunes. The battery will keep the streaming video going for a full five hours non-stop and will give you up to 16 hours for audio only. THE FUTURE LOOKS REALLY GREAT FOR THE APPLE IPHONE Steve Jobs is extremely confident in future sales regarding the Apple iphone when he stated recently that he feels Apple should be able to sell over 10 million units of the phone by 2008. Since the anticipation level for this device is at an all-time high, it’s hard to argue with those optimistic numbers. in fact, the Apple iphone could go over those numbers by Thanksgiving of 2007 with no problem at all as long as there are no hardware or software glitches that Apple has somehow overlooked. The phone’s main features include a touch screen where you will be able to just point your finger at a name or number in your address book to start dialing that close friend or relative. The embedded megapixel camera will allow you to utilize a sophisticated photo management application that is exclusive to the Apple iphone alone. You will be able to sync your photos from a PC or mac with ease, and you can also e-mail the photos to your friends with no problem at all. I would not recommend that you stop your Sprint service right now and start up a new account with Cingular Wireless just so you can say you were one of the initial first users of this great new phone, but when your contract does expire with your cellular phone service, whatever you do, spend the $399 and pick up the best and most innovative cellphone/computer you will ever be able to find anywhere. How REAL Mothers Fill in Baby Memory Books

By Sophia Ton There are several different kinds of popular baby memory books that moms like to fill in for keepsakes. And most wont remain flat for long! Small semi-soft cover photo album types are popular where you stash away single snap shots each month then gradually spreading them out to the annual daycare photos. You can also keep tiny snippets of those first curls here and other small mementos hair ribbons or bows, scalp cap, squashed bootie, etc. Average sized books are about 5.9 x 8.5 x 0.9 inches with a sort of soft, quilted coverbut they sure wont remain flat for long. Similarly larger hardcover baby memory books have photo pages for storing copies. Plus they generally feature questions where you fill in the blanks as baby grows up. These are popular because moms (and dads!) like to record first words, favorite foods, during early years, etc. These books run around 11.6 x 9.4 x 0.9 inches, and their binding does allow for some fluff as the books expand with hair snips, ribbons, favorite package bows from grandma, etc. But they still grow too big for their bindings! Other real moments captured by moms with these baby memory books include: Favorite greeting cards from family members, co-workers, friends anyone and everyone! Fun package tags that held tiny trinkets like baby booties or rattle. Bookmarks for mom, dad or baby. Newspaper announcements about babys birth! First tooth that fell out (unless the tooth fairy took it, of course!) Family Trees Favorite songs of the times Favorite videos / DVDs, movies (like any of Disneys). Silly but cute crafts created during those early years. Fun coloring pages. Finger painting page for finger prints as security plus for fun. Nursery swatches Photos of everything with baby in them Paper dolls and clothes Hair clippings Vacation mementoes, postcard(s) and brief write up of adventurous time you had. Autobiography and history of others in family. List of books you read baby As you can probably tell, just one baby memory book is probably - - OK definitely not going to be enough room for everything. So get real, and get real baby memory books with extra space. Or just get more space for your baby memory books. But do have fun! No One Gives A Damn About Your Business. Unless You Give ‘em A Reason To

By John Follis The good news is that there are thousands of people looking for what you offer. The bad news is that those people are extremely tough to attract not to mention that your very livelihood depends on it. It’s a scary thought when you think about it. And many don’t. Some are simply ignorant to the marketing realities. For others the expense and complexity associated with any kind of formal marketing effort is simply too intimidating. They rely souly on word-of-mouth. The fact is, word-of-mouth is great, fabulous, wonderful and not enough if you’re serious about growing your business. Do You Believe in Marketing? Do you see marketing as a necessary investment or a questionable expense? It’s an important question because if you don’t truly believe in the power of smart marketing you’ll sabotage anything you try…like driving with the brake on. Marketing done well is an investment and there’s no better investment than your business. Determine your Objective and Budget. Like any investment it involves planning and patience. You start by establishing a realistic objective and then determine what it takes to achieve it. That takes the analysis of several factors such as: o the industry you’re in o the maturity of your business. o the specific product or service being offered. o the target audience. o the competitive environment. o timing. So, what does it all cost? Again, it depends on what your short and long term goals are. For some, 5% of annual sales may be plenty to invest. For others 10% may not be enough. Once you determine your goal it’s easier to determine the budget you need to achieve it. Good vs. Great vs. Do-It-Yourself. “Good” marketing isn’t good enough. “Good” marketing, which is most of what you see, does only half the job. It informs people but doesn’t touch them emotionally. And if you don’t touch them emotionally they won’t buy your product. It doesn’t matter if you have the best product or service in the world if you’re not getting your prospects excited enough to act. Some business owners decide to take on the marketing challenge themselves. A few even treat it as child’s play. One potential client actually asked me my opinion of something his 10-year old came up with. Needless to say we weren’t a good fit. Most business owners realize they aren’t marketing experts. The problem is they just aren’t sure who is. A common mistake is the assumption that the people who do a logo or brochure can also create a great ad or effective marketing effort. I was once asked about a campaign created by a company’s design firm. Not surprisingly the campaign was totally void of a selling idea. Yet the client was clearly sold on it. When I asked the client what exactly he liked about the campaign he enthusiastically replied, “The green — it’s a real attention grabber!” The design firm may not have done a very good advertising job, but clearly they did an exceptional sales job. It’s just a shame the client invested $800,000 in it. Measuring Effectiveness. A direct response mechanism (ie. phone number, web address, etc) is one way to track response. Of course, sales increase is usually the ultimate barometer. And when you combine a great product with a great marketing effort the effect can be obvious. For our client Sorrell Ridge Fruit Spread sales jumped 90% a month after the campaign broke. Though that was exceptional most clients can tell after a few months if the marketing effort is working. Get a Buzz. Buzz is another way to measure effectiveness. Are people noticing you and talking about you? Our client Marble Church knows about that. The attention-getting campaign got the attention of both local New Yorkers and national press. And with a limited marketing budget church membership increased 31% while web site traffic quadrupled. The campaign, which started out as an experiment, is now in its sixth year. So, despite the perceived expense and complexity of marketing you must appreciate the need and value of it. Done right it’s the best way to make a lot of people give a damn about your business. 2005 John Follis. All rights reserved. Let Freedom “Ring”

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Philip_Nicosia]Philip Nicosia Celebrate your culture, your country, and the fine principles that your flag stands for by programming your national anthem as a ring tone. Of course, theres the minor inconvenience of having to curb the urge to stand up and salute every time somebody calls you. But otherwise, you have a ring tone that literally pays tribute to your culture, no matter where you happen to be. And in a global village where people move across continents the way some people would take a bus to another part of the city, its a nice (and incredibly easy) way of feeling a bit connected to home. Cheaper than making a long distance call. Less cumbersome than waving around a flag (try sticking that into your suit). And definitely more unique and meaningful than the standard ring tones that are packaged into a phone. Why sound like everybody else, when you can have the sounds of home? National anthem ringtones are particularly popular for immigrants, who may have changed citizenship but still feel (understandably) a link to their old roots. They may be millions of miles away from family, friends, and everything familiar, but their phone rings and theyre transported to the old country. Even second or third generation immigrants like downloading ringtones that can serve as a symbolic celebration of their roots. Its part of their search for identity and expression of their tribal pride. After all, theres an emerging trend towards embracing ethnicity, from the sudden popularity of wooden beads to ivy league universities organizing culture clubs. Downloading the national anthem ring tone into ones phone is just one aspect of that movement. And you have to admit, that kind of ring tone makes for an excellent conversation piece, especially when youre in a crowded club trying to connect to somebody you find attractive, or stumbling through the first awkward minutes of a blind date. Your phone rings, and naturally, you now have an opportunity to say something about yourself. See, these things have their practical uses. (Aside, of course, from letting you know that someone is trying to reach you!) National anthem ringtones can also be a seasonal download. If youre more into downloading dance tunes or classical music or the theme of the latest movies, no problem. But why not try it out to celebrate your countrys independence day, where you can literally let freedom ring. Its such a simple way of showing your patriotic side! It doesnt matter what country youre from; the diversity of national anthem ringtones means that you can probably find what you need on the Internet. A small island in the Mediterranean, a tiny landlocked country in the Eastern Bloc, a little-known Asian kingdomits all there. All you need is to go to the website, type in the name of your country or the title of your national anthem, and youll find it, ready to download and play. Now, if only visas were just as easy to get. Ringtones.lt specializes in the different genres of [http://www.ringtones.lt]ringtones including [http://www.ringtones.lt/mp3-ringtones.php]MP3 ringtones and [http://www.ringtones.lt/true-tones-sub-1023-National-Anthems.php]National Anthem ringtones. Domestic Cleaning Can Be Fun

By Steph Pemberton I clean other peoples homes for a living and, believe it or not, it can be fun. With any job that involves the public, no two days are ever the same. Every home has a story to tell and every home holds its secrets. It’s rather like going from one film set to another, all that differs are the stage directions and the props. Casting problems occasionally rear their ugly heads but as a true professional I rise to any challenge. Having said that -you can’t please all of the people all of the time. I remember the time I declined the role of scullery maid. It led to my dismissal. The chores didn’t upset me, but no way was I going to entrance and and exit by the rear of the house, or address my employer formally- Mrs Highman-come on it’s 2007 suburbia, not Desperate Housewives and certainly not Gosford Park. Anyway, the salary was not commensurate with the oscar winning performance that was expected. I was glad to bid a none too fond, farewell. Exiting, of course, through the back door. Call me temperamental if you must but I have to concede that bedroom scenes are not my forte either. I play the role of unwitting voyeur, albeit through gritted teeth. Sadly it goes with the territory. Nevertheless a little discretion would not go amiss. You’d be amazed at the number of couples that procure their maid to add a little spice to a waning sex life. Of course the role is strictly perfunctory: walk in, act surprised, mutter insincere apologies, then walk out again. It does become quite tedious. So many rehearsals… You don’t have to be an expert in Freudian philosophy to realise that a situation that initially presents itself as sexually oriented, is in fact actually about control. I was called upon to clean the upper framework of a four poster bed. A bed occupied by a rather dubious vertically-challenged gentleman, who lay atop rather grubby looking silken bedsheets. With a mixture of nausea and mirth I straddled his supine, form intent on removing every speck of dust from the rather beautiful piece of furniture. moving between the wooden towers with the grace of a ballerina. Unfortunately I slipped. Well accidents do happen. He was in pain for weeks, poor soul. I heard much later, however, that he made a full recovery. I failed miserably in the role of Mary Poppins. Then again I don’t possess magic powers. Required to keep a watchful eye on a baby, and perform cleaning duties, proved to be more difficult than anticipated. I’ve never seen a baby crawl so fast. I was taken completely by surprise. Evasive action was required. The table lamp went crashing to the floor as the trailing flex became ensnared by the vacuum cleaner. The commotion, not to mention the expletives, brought the startled mother rushing to the scene. Despite protestations that the lamp rather than the baby was the preferred casualty, she wasn’t convinced. I suppose he must be about five years old by now. I probably wouldn’t recognise him. Domestic cleaning as a career choice isn’t for the feint hearted. Nerves of steel are desirable, a good sense of humour is essential. Drama skills - well you can pick them up as you go along. A word of advice for all you would be char ladies out there, remember all the worlds a stage and your’e not there just to clean it up. Lactose Intolerance: What Is It And How Is It Diagnosed?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dr._Scot_Lewey] Dr. Scot Lewey Lactose, commonly known as milk sugar, may not be digested well if you are either born with absent or low levels of the enzyme lactase or if your intestine has been injured resulting in absent or low levels of lactase. Lactose is a disaccharide or two sugars linked. It is a combination of the two sugars, glucose and galactose. If intestines lack or are deficient in lactase you will not adequately digest lactose and you will experience gas, bloating, abdominal cramps and diarrhea shortly after eating something containing lactose. The lactase enzyme is on the surface of the intestine cells where it is very vulnerable to intestinal injury. Some people are born with absent or low levels of lactase, therefore have congenital alactasia or hypolactasia. Between 80-100% of people of Asian, Native American, or African ancestry are lactose intolerant for this reason compared to only 15% of those of Northern European ancestry. Secondary or acquired lactose intolerance can develop after any injury of the small intestine. Common causes include infection (e.g. after severe stomach flu or gastroenteritis), medication (e.g. chemotherapy), radiation, malnutrition, food intolerance (e.g. Celiac disease) or overgrowth of bad bacteria. The intestine may be temporarily damaged and recover tolerance for lactose. Permanent or ongoing damage can result in prolonged intolerance similar to congenital lactose intolerance. The levels of lactase enzymes are highest in young children and diminish with time, often by teenage years when symptoms may become prominent. Lactose intolerance is commonly diagnosed based on a history of symptoms of gas, bloating, abdominal pain or cramps and diarrhea that occur within minutes to a couple of hours of ingestion of dairy products. Since lactose can be in other foods not considered dairy, some people may not recognize a pattern that they associate with lactose. Others may be misdiagnosed as having irritable bowel syndrome. The diagnosis is made formally by either a hydrogen breath test or lactose tolerance test. Measuring hydrogen in the breath after ingestion of lactose that has been radio labeled or marked with a detectable carbon fragment is known as the hydrogen breath test. Lactose tolerance tests measure several blood sugar levels after ingestion of lactose looking for absence of an expected normal rise. Though a biopsy of the intestine can test for presence of the enzyme, this is expensive, invasive and rarely available outside of research labs. Non-specific tests such as stool acidity test (pH) or lactose challenge are commonly utilized along with a clinical history and a trial of a lactose free diet to make the diagnosis. The stool is normally neutral to alkaline in pH unless sugars are fermented in the intestine or excessively acidic foods or beverages are ingested. Maldigested lactose fermented by bacteria in the intestine produces acid and lowers the stool pH. Stool pH can be easily and inexpensively measured. However, a low or acidic stool pH is not specific for lactose intolerance since other maldigested sugars can be fermented resulting in increased stool acidity. Lactose challenge is simply eating or drinking high lactose containing foods or drinks and noting the presence or absence of symptoms. The poor mans lactose challenge is ingesting a quart of skim milk. Fat slows emptying of the stomach and delays the delivery of food or drink to the small intestine. Skim milks lack of significant fat permits rapid passage from the stomach to small intestine of a large load of lactose. If someone is lactase deficient they will have rapid onset of symptoms of bloating, gas, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. The absence of any of these symptoms after a quart of skim milk makes lactose intolerance very unlikely. Lactose intolerance treatment involves avoiding lactose-containing foods, not just dairy, since many other foods have lactose added. Alternatively, lactase enzymes may be taken with or just before eating lactose containing foods but their effectiveness is somewhat limited. Lactose free milk may also be used. Individuals who do not have conditions that affect the intestine, intestinal damage or fit the usual ethnic pattern associated with lactose intolerance that have lactose intolerance or symptoms suggestive of lactose intolerance should be screened for Celiac disease. This common condition is frequently missed and when untreated is highly associated with lactose intolerance. One study noted that 24% of people with lactose intolerance had undiagnosed Celiac disease and lactose intolerance was their only manifestation of Celiac disease. Lactose intolerance is common. It may cause bloating, gas, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. The symptoms may be misdiagnosed as irritable bowel syndrome. Celiac disease commonly causes lactose intolerance. Many lactose intolerant people have undiagnosed Celiac disease. The Health Care Crisis - and a Solution

By Tim Larson We are presently facing a health care crisis that is getting more dire every day. Health care costs are increasing so rapidly that many companies who offered free health insurance to their employees are now passing a lot of the high cost on to their employees. Other employers are dropping their health care plans altogether because they have become too expensive. Millions do not have health insurance because they can’t afford the premiums. There are many reasons that this situation is escalating out of control. One reason is that the primary emphasis is on treatment of the symptoms of disease. There is too little emphasis on prevention of disease. Most people don’t take care of themselves well enough, partially due to insufficient knowledge on how to prevent disease. Many people tend to eat too much and exercise too little. Many others have habits which impact their health, such as alcohol or tobacco. We have an aging population. We live longer, but require more health care to accomplish that, partially due to insufficient attention to our health in earlier years. Health care insurance encourages people to neglect their health because they think they can rely on a quick fix when they need it. Medical choices are often made by others in the name of the patient, rather than the patient being involved in the financial and medical choices. Many insured patients tend to overuse medical resources since those resources appear to be free or almost free, masked by the cost of the insurance. What is the solution to this ever-expanding problem? How do we bring health care costs under control and make a better life for people? There are many facets to the solution, but the most important part is disease prevention. Many of the nation’s biggest health problems can be prevented with proper knowledge and proper habits. The emphasis for health care needs to be shifted from treating disease to prevention of disease. We need to stop disease before it manifests. This will not eliminate the need to cure disease, but it can diminish that need significantly. One very important by-product of this is a healthier population. Now that we know the solution, how do we implement it? It is implemented through proper health education. The knowledge of how to prevent disease has existed for thousands of years. The knowledge has been largely ignored, to our detriment. People got used to the idea of taking pills to treat the symptoms of disease rather than taking proper actions to prevent disease in the first place. This fostered bad habits and people increasingly lost the inner knowledge of what was good for their health and what was bad for their health. People began to crave junk food and a sedentary lifestyle - the opposite of what was good for their health. How do we gain the proper health education and restore the inner knowledge to help guide our journey to better health? Ayurveda, the science of life, provides a wealth of information for restoring better health and balance to our systems. You can get more information on health at http://www.mindxpansion.com/health/. You can also check the balance of your own system or get a comprehensive Ayurvedic Analysis at http://www.mindxpansion.com/ayurvedic/. The solution to this momentous problem lies in the hands of each one of us. Start doing your part today and you will reap the benefits for many years to come. Tim Larson developed the first computer program on Ayurveda. His mix of the ancient secrets of Ayurveda with the modern technology of computer programming brought a new interactive experience of Ayurveda, custom-tailored for the user. Become an Investment Advisor

By Nick Hunter There are many people who feel that to make money in todays market and in the future, you must work off of advisory fees and not commissions. An Investment or Financial Adviser is someone who manages a portfolio or advises a person what to do in their portfolio. For these services, an Adviser can retain a fee for doing so. They operate much like an Accountant or an Attorney would. Rather than directly sell a security for commission, they will receive a fixed percentage of the assets they manage. The license that most of them receive is the SERIES 65 (Registered Investment Advisor). What makes this arrangement attractive for the Adviser is that your income stream is much steadier. Your fees are set so if a customer is not particularly active, you still retain the normal advisory fee you charge. The arrangement is equally beneficial to the customer. A customer does not feel the same pressure to buy as they would from a commission Stockbroker. A Stockbroker does not make money unless a customer buys or sells. The SERIES 65 does not need to be sponsored and can be practiced independently. It also looks terrific on a resume and only takes 4-6 weeks to study for. If you are looking to add financial credentials prior to entering the securities business, the Series 65 is a great license to get. It is a multiple choice test and no educational pre-requisites are required. A few states do not require an individual to hold a SERIES 65 to practice investment advice but it is a good idea to get it anyway. You want to be aware of certain rules and background of the industry. The licensing curriculum will explain all of the securities that apply. It is also a good “Title” to practice business under. Thousands and thousands of CPA’s, Lawyers, and other professionals have obtained their SERIES 65 license and became Financial Advisors. The ability to offer investment advice to their existing clientele has proved to be very beneficial to their business. You are not allowed to work on commissions and advisory fees from the same client. The SEC views that as “double charging”, so you should decide what route is best for you. As said earlier, many feel the “fee route” is the best way to go now. Good Luck! Nick Hunter is the President of American Investment Training, Inc. (AIT) http://www.aitraining.com.
